Since that time, it has served as a special venue for thousands of happy guests. Guests have come from all over the nation and the world to celebrate special weddings here or to participate in company meetings or functions. The property has been in the Hodde family for over 100 years.

Southern Hospitality Practiced Here
The Phoenix provides you with the highest level of service along with a big dose of southern hospitality. Our goal is to make your wedding day or special event memorable, and stress-free. We plan each event as if it were for a member of our own family, leaving no detail unattended to. We handle the details so you do not have to worry with them and we’ll do whatever it takes to make you and your guests happy.

“Welcome to the Phoenix and thanks for visiting our website. When you visit the Phoenix, you will find a country retreat that is both welcoming and relaxing. In fact, we have heard many times from our guests that once they are here, they don’t want to leave. You will discover why when you see our attention to the details in the beautiful décor of our guest rooms and meeting rooms, and our passion for landscape design and horticulture. This is evident with the water garden and lily pond, the vegetable and flower gardens, the hand-crafted cedar post arbor draped in purple wisteria, and with the variety of flowers and plants on the property. We invite you to come share your special occasion with us.”

Sarah May

“The Phoenix truly has the “gift” of hospitality…and are in the right profession”
Stephanie Brandt

“You guys definitely made planning the wedding easier, especially with Robert overseas in Iraq while the wedding was being planned.”
Melanie Gray

Emily & Brian

“My wedding was perfect and stress free, thanks to you guys.”
Amanda & Zach

“The Phoenix was an answer to our prayers. It was the perfect place for my daughter’s wedding. It was a fun yet elegant location! We loved having her wedding there and we will never forget the special day!”
Cheryl Linscomg

Susana and Lou

“The true beauty of The Phoenix is not just that it is the perfect setting for any wedding, but the personal treatment, care, concern, attention to every detail and compassion given to us by Bruce and Ken has meant more to our entire family than any words can express, as they helped to create THE PERFECT WEDDING.”

The Phoenix “Wedding Weekend” Includes:
Entire complex for the weekend, Thursday to Sunday with your event being the only one during this time. Come in on Thursday to start decorating then arrive anytime on Friday to finish decorating and begin the Rehearsal and Rehearsal Dinner (usually the bride and her bridesmaids spend Friday night so when you bring in the hairstylist on Saturday you don’t have to go anywhere…giving you extra time to get ready.) Then, we will have the wedding and reception, all in one place. Check out time on Sunday is at 11 am.

3 charming Bed & Breakfast rooms, with overnight stays on Friday and Saturday. A beautiful separate living room, fully equipped kitchen and a screened-in porch where you can rock and relax the day away
